We used our early entry today and started out the morning with a couple of rounds on Space Mountain. I was feeling exhausted when we got to the park, but a little adrenaline rush did wonders for me. While our husbands were on Space Mountain, we took the kids on the rocket ride and then ventured over to the nearby restaurant for our “Minnie and Friends” character breakfast. It was a little overwhelming to manage 13 kids for the 10 minutes or so until our husbands arrived, but it would have been easier if the people seating us would have realized they were not seating miniature people instead of the full-sized variety. We had most of the children crammed onto the booth side of a couple of tables, and the four 8-year-old boys seated at an adjacent table. There was barely room for anyone to move! Once the characters showed up, the kids didn’t seem to care and were more concerned with getting autographs and hugs and photo ops than with eating their food. We met Pluto, Minnie, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Wendy, Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother, Chip and Dale, and Eyeore. Sofie, especially, was in hog heaven. She hugged the characters multiple times and seemed determined not to let any of the other children share in her good fortune.

After we ate, we picked up some more fast passes and ventured over into Tomorrow Land to finish the rides we hadn’t gotten to yesterday. Our kids loved the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster ride and I wish we would have time to do it again. As the kids ride along, they get to shoot at targets and compete against the other child in their car for points. There was also a booth at the end of the ride where you could have photos from the ride (along with your high score) emailed to your computer. The kids thought this was pretty nifty, but the guy behind me who had to wait while we emailed 8 or so photos wasn’t too thrilled. ;) He hemmed and hawed and complained the whole time, even though I explained that we had a lot of kids in our group and even though there were other booths he could have used. I was annoyed.
