The park closed shortly thereafter (at 6:00 – I don’t know why!) so we decided to head back over to Disneyland for the remainder of the night. We had grand ideas of finishing out the evening over there, but by the time we got there, hit the Matterhorn and had dinner, we were completely pooped and decided to close the curtains on our Disney experience. We watched a little bit of the parade from afar and did some quick last-minute souvenir shopping. I took Joshua and Zoe to buy some things Joshua had seen earlier over in Tomorrow Land and sent Curtis and the rest of the kids with the B family to wait for the shuttle. We hurried as fast as we could, but just as we were leaving the Disney gates, we could see our shuttle pulling up to the stop off in the distance. Even though we all felt like our feet were going to throb right out of our shoes and like we were running in mud, we hustled out to the bus stop as fast was we could and managed to make it just in the nick of time. Whew!

I felt sad to be leaving Disneyland, but most sad that we had to separate from the B family. It was truly incredible the way all our kids hit it off so well and that we enjoyed being together so much. I’ve known Wendy for several years and consider her a dear friend, but it made it even more special that our kids and husbands could connect the way that they did. We’re already talking about what we can do together “next time” and are tossing around everything from Yellowstone to boating to white water rafting. Whatever it is, we can’t wait to see them again. They are truly a special family with a special place in our hearts.

Tomorrow we drive back to my parents’ house to pick up our babies and then on to Cedar City to see my husband’s family. It’s going to be a long day in the car (or cars, more aptly) and I’m worried about being able to stay awake as we both drive for 9 or so hours. Wish me luck!

This was a great summary of our trip, Tana! And I loved all of the photos. We already miss you guys and are planning when we can come visit. :-) Let's definitely plan a trip to Yellowstone. Both Tim and I loved being with your family, too. Our kids miss your kids, and have already started asking when they can see them again.
